Description

Sustanon 400 is a higher-concentration variant of the classical four-ester mixture with 400mg testosterone per ml. The split typically follows the Sustanon scheme with Propionate, Phenylpropionate, Isocaproate, and Decanoate in proportionally increased amounts.

Per study reports the higher concentration means less injection volume for the same dose. Instead of 1ml for 250mg, 0.625ml suffices for 250mg - a practical advantage in research protocols with high doses where volume tolerance and injection-site stress are factors.

The pharmacokinetics of the individual esters remain identical to standard Sustanon, only the total dose per ml is higher. This makes Sustanon 400 a tool for research protocols with supraphysiologic doses where volume at 1g/week or more would otherwise hit practical limits.

The higher concentration typically requires a slightly higher solvent concentration (benzyl benzoate, benzyl alcohol) in the vehicle. Post-injection inflammation can therefore be slightly elevated with Sustanon 400 compared to standard concentrations.

Risks & Safety

Sustanon 400 shares the risk profile of all testosterone esters - the higher concentration per ml changes nothing about the documented effects, but the higher peak values usually require stronger E2 control.

Documented in studies and the application literature:

  • Estrogen conversion: testosterone aromatizes to estradiol. With the higher peak values the E2 rise is usually more pronounced, with documented water retention, blood pressure rise and at higher doses gynecomastia risk.
  • Suppression of endogenous production: exogenous testosterone throttles the body’s own production via the HPTA axis. Testicular atrophy and reduced fertility are documented, recovery after discontinuation is not guaranteed.
  • Cardiovascular: studies describe unfavorable shifts in the lipid profile (HDL falls), elevated hematocrit and an associated thrombosis risk.
  • Other: acne, accelerated hair loss with genetic predisposition. The elevated solvent concentration in the vehicle can slightly increase post-injection inflammation.
